Recently, the opening ceremony of the Jiangmen 2024 National Ecology Day themed summer camp organized by the Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau was held at Donghu Park, attracting 20 parent-child families to participate.

On that day, under the guidance of their mentor, the children conducted a series of immersive learning experiences. Learning about ecological planting in rural areas, understanding the popular science knowledge of "earthworm towers" and soil ecology, recognizing the diversity of fragrant grass plants, sharing interesting plant experiments, experiencing homemade fragrant grass drinks... Every step of the process makes children excited and full of rewards.

Through on-site observation and personal experience, children deeply realize the importance of protecting the ecological environment and valuing natural resources. They stated that they will bring back this precious memory and insight into their daily lives, starting from themselves and small things, and contribute to protecting our common home on Earth.

It is reported that this summer camp will be held in three phases, focusing on environmental knowledge popularization, green lifestyle, and biodiversity. Carefully designed experiential ecological study courses will lead our city's parent-child families to visit environmental education bases in Pengjiang District, Taishan City, and Heshan City. Through various forms such as on-site inspections, professional explanations, interactive experiences, etc., we will integrate environmental protection, science, and fun, vigorously promote green and low-carbon lifestyles, and call on more citizens and friends to actively participate in life
