The reporter learned from the Municipal Disabled Persons Federation that the final of the 14th Guangdong Province Blind Poetry and Prose Recitation Competition and the 10th Blind Prose Creation Competition award ceremony have been held recently. Contestants Qu Shuangning and Huang Jinqing, selected by the Municipal Disabled Persons Federation and the Municipal Library, respectively won the third prize in the adult group of the recitation competition and the third prize in the adult group of the prose creation competition. The Municipal Library won the "Excellent Organization Award".

It is understood that this year's competition will be divided into youth and adult groups for the first time. A total of 315 contestants participated in the recitation competition. After the preliminary and final rounds, a total of 35 recitation works were presented, and 47 recitation contestants advanced to the finals, making it the most competitive competition in history. The prose creation competition received a total of 332 entries, and after organizing expert evaluations, 36 award-winning works were selected.

Qu Shuangning, a contestant from Jiangmen City, recited the work "Boundary Monument" and won recognition from the judges, winning the third prize in the adult group of the recitation competition; Huang Jinqing's essay "Running out of a Rainbow Life" showcases the spirit of contemporary youth who strive for self-improvement, bravely pursue their dreams, and forge ahead. He won the third prize in the adult group of the essay creation competition.
