"The moment of face-to-face communication with you in this temple is very precious to me. I believe that my grandfather would be very happy to know that the temple has been 'reborn'. After four years, Lin Aiying, the representative of the owner of the Dexunlin Temple and a Chinese American, returned to Jiangmen to chat with the villagers.".

Recently, the "Blue Tile Lecture Hall" cultural exchange activity was held at the Dexunlin Temple in Tangbian, Huanshi Street, Pengjiang District. Lin Aiying and Tan Jinhua, a professor at Wuyi University and initiator of the Cangdong Plan, exchanged ideas on the protection process and future development of the temple.

This event is jointly organized by the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Cultural Research Institute of Wuyi University, the Municipal Overseas Chinese Federation, the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Kaiping Cangdong Cultural Heritage Conservation and Development Center.

On that day, amidst the lively sound of firecrackers and the melodious guqin, the "Blue Tile Lecture Hall" series of cultural exchange activities at the Dexunlin Temple were unveiled and launched. Subsequently, Lin Aiying and Tan Jinhua engaged in in-depth exchanges on the restoration process, historical and cultural values, protection and development of the ancestral hall.

The Dexunlin Temple was first built in 1935 by overseas Chinese Lin Zizhao in Nanyang to commemorate his father, Lin Dexun. Its unique blue roof and numerous exquisite decorations have become a local business card. "The Gongci Temple belongs to the traditional Guangfu Ancestral Hall form, which includes all the architectural techniques of modern Lingnan architecture, as well as elements of Nanyang architecture." Tan Jinhua said that this is a "living textbook" that has high reference value for in-depth research on the architectural techniques and overseas Chinese thoughts of the Wuyi Overseas Chinese Hometown during the Republic of China period.

The revitalization of the Dexunlin Temple is inseparable from the attention and dedication of relevant government departments, experts and scholars, and social elites. The entire repair process is not only the restoration of the building itself, but also the inheritance of culture, reflecting Jiangmen's emphasis on traditional culture and a vivid portrayal of the inheritance and development of overseas Chinese culture.

As a century old overseas Chinese architecture, the Dexunlin Temple is not only a carrier of cultural inheritance, but also a window for the dissemination of overseas Chinese culture. The holding of the "Blue Tile Lecture Hall" aims to spread more knowledge about cultural heritage and the culture of overseas Chinese in the Dexunlin Temple, a building with special significance, so that more people can understand and cherish cultural heritage.
