As of now, a total of 2310 people in our city have passed the tour guide qualification exam, and a total of 902 people have obtained electronic tour guide certificates for employment.
The theme of the 2023 Jiangmen City "Gold Medal Interpreter" Competition is "Telling the Story of Jiangmen Well and Showing the Style of Overseas Chinese Capital". After layer-by-layer selection, a total of 10 contestants stood out from many excellent commentators and entered the finals. The 10 contestants who entered the finals come from different fields of society and have a wide range of representativeness. They include professional interpreters working in scenic spots and public cultural venues, interpreters responsible for government reception, teachers from the education system, training institutions, and students from universities.
The finals are divided into three stages: self-introduction, simulated explanation, and talent display. During the competition, the contestants exerted all their abilities to showcase their charm and eloquence. In the end, after intense competition, contestant Liu Yang from Taishan won the first prize, contestant Li Xiubi from Kaiping and contestant Li Shu from Xinhui won the second prize, and the rest received the third prize and excellent award respectively.
