The selection work for the second National Excellent Musical Performance Exhibition has ended recently. It is reported that this exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Fujian Province. Nearly a hundred musicals from across the country participated in the evaluation, and 15 works were ultimately selected. Among them, the original song and dance drama "Dai Ailian" from Jiangmen was listed as one of the two works selected by Guangdong Province.

The song and dance drama "Dai Ailian" is the first large-scale stage play and work creation funding project funded by the National Art Foundation in Jiangmen City, and also one of the key support projects for Jiangmen's literary and artistic excellence. The entire 120-minute drama combines various forms of artistic expression such as dance, music, and drama, utilizing traditional Chinese dance and music. With a unique narrative style and artistic appeal, it portrays Mr. Dai Ailian's infinite love for the motherland and his pursuit, exploration, education, and popularization of Chinese dance art. The song and dance drama also portrays the love between Dai Ailian and Ye Qianyu, as well as their mutual support in art, ultimately allowing Chinese dance to shine brightly in the world.

The musical officially premiered in August 2022. From July 18th to 24th this year, the 2023 tour of the musical "Dai Ailian", organized by the Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and organized by the Municipal Cultural Museum and Dai Ailian Cultural and Art Center, was held. The tour once again led the audience to appreciate the legendary life of "Mother of Chinese Dance" Dai Ailian, and polished the "10 City Cultural Business Cards" of Jiangmen, the capital of overseas Chinese with the power of dance. At present, the song and dance drama has successfully passed the final acceptance of the National Art Fund Management Center.

It is reported that next, the musical "Dai Ailian" will go to Xiamen, Fujian Province to participate in the second National Excellent Musical Exhibition.
