Our city held the 2024 Intellectual Property Promotion Week and the Launching Ceremony of the Patent Industrialization Action to Promote Small and Medium sized Enterprises, opening the prelude to the Intellectual Property Promotion Week activity with the theme of "Intellectual Property Transformation and Application to Promote High Quality Development". Vice Mayor Cao Yang participated in the event.

Cao Yang stated that this year Jiangmen will make every effort to build a pilot city for the construction of a strong national intellectual property city. He hopes that relevant departments at the national and provincial levels will strengthen their guidance on our city and actively seek advice and suggestions for the development of Jiangmen's intellectual property industry; Innovation entities should increase their investment in research and development, strengthen the high-quality creation and efficient use of intellectual property, enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises, and use intellectual property work to accelerate the development of new quality productivity, providing stronger impetus and support for achieving high-quality development.

Han Xiucheng, the former director of the Intellectual Property Development Research Center of the China National Intellectual Property Administration and one of the first batch of experts from Jiangmen's high-end intellectual property think tanks, was invited to explain the Special Action Plan for Patent Transformation and Application (2023-2025), and provide suggestions for the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in patent industrialization in Jiangmen.

At the event, the award-winning projects of the 3rd Jiangmen High Value Patent Cultivation and Layout Competition in 2023, the enterprises that won the Excellent Award of the 24th China Patent Award, and the 2023 National Intellectual Property Demonstration and Advantage Enterprises were presented. The event also unveiled the pilot cities for the construction of a strong national intellectual property city and the growth platform for small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrialization of patents in Jiangmen. At the same time, the Jiangmen Intellectual Property Transformation and Application Database was also launched. The event also held a signing ceremony for intellectual property pledge financing cooperation agreements, and the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau (Intellectual Property Bureau) signed intellectual property pledge financing cooperation agreements with 16 banking institutions.
