Recently, Macao and Jiangmen tourism business cooperation conference was held in Jiangmen. Representatives of the tourism industry of the two places exchanged views on how to promote the development of tourism in the two places and boost the recovery of cultural tourism. In order to promote the interaction and exchange between Macao and Jiangmen in tourism, strengthen cooperation, and promote the development of tourism economy in the two places, the Macao Hotel and tourism chamber of Commerce and Jiangmen tourism industry association signed the framework agreement on tourism business cooperation, and voluntarily formed the "Macao-Jiangmen" tourism promotion strategic partnership to jointly build tourism brands, develop tourism markets, and promote the development of tourism in the two places.
A relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of culture, radio, tourism and sports said that Macao and Jiangmen are geographically close and have a close relationship. They are both places in the Greater Bay area and have world cultural heritage. This year, the Jiangmen municipal Party committee and government comprehensively implemented the "six major projects", one of which is to further promote the "integration of Hong Kong and Macao" project, and promote the cooperation between Jiangmen and Hong Kong and Macao to a new level. Jiangmen has always attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Macao in the tourism industry. It hopes to jointly build a "one-way, multi-stop, world heritage Twin Cities" boutique tourism route in the bay area, cooperate with Portuguese speaking countries to carry out publicity and promotion, and explore the international tourism market.
Relevant representatives from Macao said that Jiangmen is one of the major tourist source cities of Macao. During this visit, they hoped to strengthen business cooperation, actively expand the tourist source of Macao and promote Macao tourism. With the permission of epidemic prevention and control, we hope to promote the recovery of Macao's tourism, help boost the economy, alleviate the pressure on employment, promote the construction of Macao's world tourism and leisure center and the moderate and diversified development of the economy, strengthen the deeper, wider and solid cooperation in tourism in the Greater Bay area, actively create a large tourism destination in the Greater Bay area, and reflect more business cooperation results.
In the exchange session, representatives of the tourism industry expressed their views and discussed the feasibility of Macao tour guides practicing in Jiangmen after training and certification, preferential policy subsidies, route design, online and offline cooperation, etc.
