On August 22, the first Chinese medicine forum of Jiangmen overseas Chinese was successfully held. With the theme of "anti-epidemic and inheritance innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine", the forum summarized the experience of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, focusing on the academic inheritance and talent training of traditional Chinese medicine. Xu Qingfeng, deputy director of the Provincial Health Commission, and Liu Jie, member of the Standing Committee of the municipal Party committee and vice mayor, attended the event.

Xu Qingfeng said that Jiangmen is a treasure land for the development of traditional Chinese medicine, with a number of outstanding clinical talents of traditional Chinese medicine and many schools of traditional Chinese medicine that are unique in the field of traditional Chinese medicine in Guangdong. It is hoped that Jiangmen City will actively integrate into the "three major constructions" of traditional Chinese medicine in our province, focusing on the main responsibility and main business, talent support, source of medicinal materials, brand building, foreign exchange and other aspects. Play the "overseas Chinese" card well, strive to be the pilot and pioneer of "building an international highland" in the process of building a national comprehensive reform demonstration area of traditional Chinese medicine in our province, and provide "Jiangmen experience" for the province.

Liu Jie pointed out that our city has always placed the development of traditional Chinese medicine in a prominent position, continued to improve the service capacity of grass-roots traditional Chinese medicine, built a multi-level traditional Chinese medicine system, and created a high-level talent team of traditional Chinese medicine. In the future, our city will continue to promote the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine.

The forum specially invited experts such as Zhou daihan, Xiong Jibai, Mei Guoqiang, and Zhang Zhongde, a national famous traditional Chinese medicine, to give lectures. Overseas Chinese medicine groups such as Canada, Germany, Hungary, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as Chinese medicine groups in Hong Kong and Macao were also connected.
