Taishan Municipal People's government and Guangdong Qidi group held the signing ceremony of the project of RCEP economic, trade, science, technology and cultural cooperation and exchange center in Daguang Bay. Xu Ningning, chairman of RCEP industrial cooperation committee, Chen Anming, Secretary of Jiangmen municipal Party committee, Secretary of the Party group and director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Chen Hongbo, senior executive vice president of Qidi holdings and chairman of the International Association for science and technology parks and innovation regions (IASP), attended the signing ceremony. Li Huiwen, member of the Standing Committee of the municipal Party committee, director of the United Front Work Department and Secretary of Taishan municipal Party committee, presided over the signing ceremony.
The RCEP economic, trade, science, technology and cultural cooperation and exchange center project of Guanghai Bay is invested and constructed by Guangdong Qidi group, a subsidiary of Qidi holding. It is planned to be located in Guanghai Bay Economic Development Zone, with a total planned investment of 12 billion yuan. It will build an innovative development zone for eastern cities and a development zone for emerging industries in Western China. Among them, the eastern urban innovation and Development Zone will adopt the idea of industry city integration to build a science, innovation, culture and Commerce complex covering cultural exchange, conference, exhibition and trade, culture, tourism and education and other business forms; Relying on good deep-water ports and abundant energy supply, the Western emerging industry development zone will focus on building emerging strategic industries such as biomedicine, intelligent manufacturing, logistics equipment and digital commerce.
Lv Kejian, former director of the Asia Department of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Guo Jia, chairman of Guangdong Qidi group, and Chen Zhiqing, Cai Dewei and Zheng Xiaoyi, municipal leaders attended the signing ceremony.
