CreateDate:2019.05.10

From May 7 to 8, Lin Xiong, deputy secretary and vice chairman of the CPPCC Party Group, led the research group to conduct a special survey on " Promoting Youth Exchange between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao". Zhou Weiwan, chairman of the CPPCC and Secretary of the Party Group, and city leaders Hu Ti, Zhao Cuiling and Hu Nianfang participated in relevant activities.

The research team visited the Wuyi Overseas Chinese Museum, Zhuxi Chuanggu  Science and Technology Park, Wuyi University and other places to learn about the cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Guangdong youths and the entrepreneurial employment environment of Hong Kong and Macao youth in Jiangmen. Participants also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on how to further strengthen the youth exchanges between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Lin Xiong fully affirmed the city's efforts to actively utilize overseas Chinese resources to carry out youth exchanges between Hong Kong and Macao. In particular, the CPPCC gave full play to its own advantages, initiated and organized friendship exchanges between successive members of Hong Kong and Macao and the new generation of Hong Kong and Macao in the whole province, and continued to carry out a series of activities to experience the national conditions and local conditions in a novel and fruitful form. Lin Xiong pointed out that promoting youth exchanges between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao is the responsibility and effective measure to implement the Outline of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Development Planning and to serve the overall situation of reform and development. The Committee of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan of CPPCC has included "promoting youth exchanges between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao" in its work plan this year. Taking the construction of the Great Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao as an opportunity, we should give full play to the advantages of the CPPCC and encourage, guide and help the youth of Hong Kong and Macao to become the promoters, participants and actors of the construction of the Great Bay Area. The cooperation of educational and cultural industries should be regarded as an entry point and a breakthrough point to promote the exchange between Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao youth, and the exchange visits between Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao teachers and students should be continuously strengthened.
