The First cross-border bus departure

On October 25th, the first day of the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the first cross-border bus passed through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the city at 13:30. It departed at the Jiangmen Shengli Bus Station with 45 citizens, and went to the Prince Edward in Hong Kong and passed through Tsuen Wan. “ The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is really a great miracle project, and it is fast and very comfortable.” The public expressed their enthusiasm to the reporter who followed the car experience.

At about 13 o’clock, the reporter came to the Jiangmen Shengli Bus Station and saw that the citizens who took the first bus had already arrived at the waiting hall early to board the bus. Everyone took out their mobile phones and the tickets in their hands. “ We are here to experience the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. When we heard the news that the bridge was to be opened the other day, we immediately called the station to consult and bought the ticket on the 22nd.” Miss Shi said.

From Jiangmen Shengli Bus Station to the artificial island of Zhuhai Port, the traffic volume is much less than the busy Humen Bridge. After the first shuttle bus arrives at the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, passengers need to get off with their luggage and walk through the customs before getting on the bus again.

After entering the world’s longest submarine immersed tunnel through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge West Artificial Island, you can look at Hong Kong’s Lantau Island after exiting the tunnel. The cross-border bus then arrives at the Hong Kong port. It takes about half an hour to cross the bridge. After passing through the Hong Kong port, the public will take a cross-boundary bus to the designated landing point in the urban area of Hong Kong.
