Jiangmen-Zhanjiang railway is in pilot run

On May 27th, according to Jiangmen engineering construction headquarter of China railway Guangzhou bureau corporation, Jiangmen-Zhanjiang railway is in pilot run since May 28th.

Jiangmen-Zhanjiang railway is a major component of China coastal high-speed train, consisting of three segments including Jiangmen-Maoming segment of the new Shenzhen-Maoming railway, Maoming-Huanglue segment of Maoming-Zhanjiang railway electrified, and Huanglue-Zhanjiang west segment of the new Zhanjiang east-sea-island railway, with 355 km of its total length and 200 km of its designed speed per hour. The railway connects with Xinhui station of Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity railway to the east, and crosses 4 prefecture level cities including Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Maoming and Zhanjiang, with 13 terminals such as Jiangmen, Shuangshui town, Taishan, Kaiping south, Enping, Yangdong, Yangjiang, Yangxi, Mata, Dianbai, Maoming, Wuchuan and Zhanjiang west.

The railway was in joint adjustment since April 14th, tests and experiments of which included the tracks, roadbed, bridge, tunnel, electricity, as well as the properties of several systems such as power supply, communication, signal and customer services, to ensure the requirements and conditions met, providing technical support for formal operation.

In the pilot run phase, railway department will test the major items such as running chart, malfunction simulation exercise, emergency exercise and running towards the chart, providing technical reference for subsequent operation.
