Jiangshun Bridge was in the public list of the Luban Prize

October 23rd, China Construction Industry Association published the second batch of 2016-2017 list of the Luban Prize of Construction Project. In total 120 projects were listed, one of which was the Jiangshun Bridge, the fast channel between Guangzhou and Foshan, undertaken by the CREC.

Founded in 1987, as the highest honor of the engineering quality within the domestic construction industry, the Luban Prize awarded once a year(from 2010 to 2011, assessed once a year and awarded once 2 years) to the enterprises building the top level projects. As is known, August this year, the China Construction Industry Association had conducted the preliminary assessment the engineering projects declared by the construction associations in each region, relevant industries and units, 148 of which matched the condition.

As is introduced, Jiangshun Bridge was included in the Guangdong Key Construction Projects, with the project approval of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, organized in accordance with the BT mode. The project starts from Tangxia Town, Pengjiang District, Jiangmen City, linking Jiangmen Bridge to the urban district over the Xijiang River, and connects with the Xintan Town, Shunde District, linking the fast network of Foshan City. When open, journey time from Pengjiang District to Shunde urban district can be compressed from more than 1 hour to less than 30 minutes, and that to Guangzhou urban district can be compressed to 40 minutes. Jiangshun Bridge is a double tower stayed-cable bridge, as its cable support tower is a 186m H tower, constructed with the two-way six-lane arterial highway criterion. The total length is about 3.86km, 2.287km of the bridge and 0.7km of the main span. Being the stayed-cable bridge with the largest span in Guangdong, Jiangshun Bridge is with 2.102 billion yuan of gross investment.
